eliza had softball spring training today. she's the youngest in her group but i was blown away at how she fit right in. this girl has a killer arm and bat. so happy she has chosen to play the sport her momma loved.
another "snow" day in the south. that usually means a snow flake or two, but today it means nothing but rain. we are all about no school around here though. somehow school found us anyways... technology (eye roll). but at least the work was mostly fun.
one of the few hiccups in transferring to a new school has been keeping up our previous activities which we are never on time for anymore. it's been a huge transition to allow myself to go with the flow and accept being late. so this is how Eliza has rolled in ballet this year. uniform and no bun. it's going to be hard to transition from this sweet group she's been with for three years into new experiences next season. life of a ballerina.
boys being boys. there's a trail we just discover that goes right out the backyard of our mountain house. not far down though is a shooting range. the boys had fun with the red ryder. jacob hit the cans several times spewing soda.. and sam's first shot was the smallest target.. a golf ball on top of a can. great aims!
snow day with no snow. and no brother. she was disappointed that he was asked over to a friend's house. tough part about being a boy-girl twin is not getting asked on the same play dates. some days i make up for it and have a friend to our house. but today was not one of those days. life lesson of learning to deal with disappointments. she's beautiful even when she's not smiling. i love her profile.
